 About 90% of the
decal still remains on the wrist handle of this large brace. The
orange lacquer finish on the cocobolo handles is about 95%, and the
nickel plating is more like 80%, but at least it's not peeling or rough
to the touch. The brace is mechanically excellent.The two patent dates are: January 10, 1911 (for a means to prevent the spindle screw from coming out) and April 11, 1911 (for the thrust bearings on the wrist handle). Neither patent is in Ron Pearson's book, but the second one is on Jim Price's Patent Master CDROM of brace patent images. |
