Each spindle is counter-balanced, quick return; feed of spindle stopped automatically. Table, 61½x18; raised and lowered by worm gear and shaft; shortest distance between spindles, 6¼ inches; cross head 60 inches long; longest distance between end drills, 51 inches; centre of spindle to column, 12 inches; traverse of spindles, 7 inches; longest distance spindle to table, 21 inches; shortest, 4½ inches; floor space, 6 feet 8 inches by 5 feet 3 inches; height over all, 7 feet 8 inches. Counter-shaft, hangers, pulleys, 16x4½, to run 225 turns per minute.
