DOUBLE BEAM TRAVELLING BRIDGE |
OVERHEAD TRAMWAY. On page 127 see cut of single
track overhead rail (as page 129), showing SWITCH and TURN-TABLE in
use. Also, on page 128 (below on this page) our method of transferring
at right angles to any point along main track; on page 131, 132,
traveller and hoist, as used on bottom flange of eye beam or plain rail
of bar iron. With overhead track, hoist and geared traveller two men
can handle a large casting much easier than six men the old way. We are
also prepared to furnish a travelling bridge (page 124 - at lower left
on this page) where railway is not desirable.
