Appendix XV
74.Richard Massey, Son of 1.Nicholas Massey

Judge Massey noted that a tract of land in Kent Co., Maryland, called "Well Meaning" was surveyed in 1717 for/by Richard Massey and Peter Massey.(1)
A joint survey is good evidence of a very close degree of relationship; logic suggests that they were brothers, and that they both were sons of 1.Nicholas Massey, d.1726, Queen Anne's Co., Md.(1)  Peter Massey would be 49.Peter Massey d.1738/42.
74.Richard Massey was not mentioned by his father in his Will, Written in 1724.
No other mention of 74.Richard Massey has been found in the records.  Inference is strong that he died after 1717 and before 1724; or, less likely, that he had moved elsewhere.
