Judge Massey noted that a tract
of land in Kent Co., Maryland, called "Well Meaning" was surveyed in
1717 for/by Richard Massey and Peter Massey.(1)
|
A joint survey is good evidence
of a very close degree of relationship; logic suggests that they were
brothers, and that they both were sons of 1.Nicholas Massey, d.1726,
Queen Anne's Co., Md.(1) Peter Massey would be 49.Peter Massey
d.1738/42.
|
74.Richard
Massey was not
mentioned by his father in his Will, Written in 1724.
|
No other mention of 74.Richard
Massey has been found in the records. Inference is strong
that he
died after 1717 and before 1724; or, less likely, that he had moved
elsewhere.
