60.Jerusha Massey: Her Marriages

J. G. Massey's notes on his 1908 researches are ordinarily models of clarity, but in the case of Jerusha Massey and her marriages, there is ambiguity that I have been unable to resolve.

From J. G. Massey's notes we get these references: Source "Jerusha Massey, d.14 Feb.1803 is listed as a child of Elijah Eleazer Massey and Hannah Parsons. 1 "Eleazer Massey m.2ndly, Jerusha Massey, daughter of Elijah Eleazer and Hannah Parsons Massey, and had issue: Sarah. 2 "Jerusha Massey afterwards married twice, the last husband being named Clador, who had one son: John Joshua Massey; d. 14 Feb.1803. 3 "Jerusha Massey m.v. Calder. 4 "... in a separate list of births, marriages and deaths, received from Wilbur Fisk Massey, the only child of Eleazer and Pamela Lambdin Massey is Elizabeth (the grandmother of Wilbur Fisk Massey), and another dau. of Eleazer, named Sarah, by his marriage, secondly, with Jerusha Massey, dau. of Elijah Eleazer & Hannah Parsons Massey." 5
