274.Thomas E. Massey: Brother of 19.Joshua Albert Massey


The three children of Dr. Thomas E. Massey are buried in Mobile, Ala., in the same cemetery as the children of the 19.Rev. Joshua Albert Massey.

Judge Massey says: "It is not improbable that he was the youngest brother of the Rev. Joshua Albert Massey."

Further supporting this hypothesis; 274.Dr. Thomas E. Massey was born 1821 in Md.; the 19.Rev. Joshua Albert Massey was born 1818 in Md.

The Rev. Joshua Albert Massey m. first, 30 Apr.1846, at Mobile, Ala., Susan Dwyer, who died there.  The Rev. Joshua Albert Massey died in Mobile in 1886, after serving as an Episcopal minister for 31 years; by arithmetic, his service started in 1851.

Dr. Thomas E. Massey is said to have arrived in Mobile, Ala. c.1870.
