By direct evidence, and also by
hypothesis, the list of the children of 52.Thomas Massey
continues to grow longer, and I am not sure that we have identified a
complete list of his children.

Several children are clearly
identified:- When 52.Thomas Massey
wrote his Will, 4 Dec.1743, he named:

When Katherine Massey, widow of
52.Thomas
Massey wrote her Will, 14 Aug.1763, she repeated the name of 253.Elijah
Massey, and added the names of two additional children:
Note. In his record, the scribe has very clearly spelled
this possibly unique name Soleance. I have been unsuccessful in
my attempts to identify the source of this name. I have been
equally unsuccessful in attempts to reconstruct its derivation from
some more common name via the usual route of hearing-writing-reading
confusion.[Ed.]

Up to this point, the above
children are all that have been positively identified by parents.

Now we entry the area of
hypothesis; Judge Massey from his records and experience, adds:
|
There
are
several
Kent Co. Deeds that link together the names of 253.Elijah
Massey and 319.Benjamin
Massey with one Winder Massey. Because of these several
Deeds, I draw the inference that these men were brothers, and
hypothesize an additional son of 52.Thomas Massey:

Judge
Massey
noted
a Kent Co. Deed that associates the names of the brothers,
253.Elijah
Massey and 319.Benjamin
Massey, with one Michaelson Massey. On this admittedly
slender evidence, I hypothesize that Michaelson Massey is a brother;
another son of 52.Thomas Massey:
