high-grade brace for the Bell System. The short swing makes it
very handy for driving screws; the ratchet mechanism has little drag,
so it does not unscrew the screw during the return swing. You can
even use it one-handed ...This example has survived some abusive treatment to which the dings on the frame attest. The nickel plating is 99% except on the ratchet cover, where some of those abusive blows fell. In spite of the abuse, the mechanical function is excellent. The plastic handles are in good condition. The ball bearing chuck will securely grip any shape of bit from 1/8 inch up to 1/2 inch. |
