George H. Bishop & Co. Hand Hack Saw, 20 inches, 12 pts, adjustable apple handle

George H. Bishop Hand Hack Saw, 20 inches, 12 pts
Back side, handle in "up" position
Handle - Front, "middle" position
Handle - Back, "middle" position

Saw-34
Price: $35.00 plus shipping

Condition: Dead straight, smooth, and fairly sharp; I scraped the red rust off with a sharpened chisel, and a thick, black magnetite layer remains.

Handle: Adjustable and removable; it is shown in the "down", "up" and "middle" positions from top to bottom at left. All the original finish remains on the handle.

Blade etch ... enhanced with unsharp masking
The etch reads, in part: George H. Bishop Hand Hack Saw, For Sawing Metal, Nails, etc., Extra Quality, Thin Back, Lawrenceburg, Ind.

The handle is removed by taking out the single screw & nut, partially undoing the wing nut, then pushing the wing nut endwise inwards to retract the hidden head of the adjusting bolt, and then "worrying" the handle straight off the big end of the blade.
No large force is needed.
