No. 1 Style eggbeater drill.
Type 0 - Prior to any of my Millers falls catalogs.
The main handle is not a user-made magazine type whose cap is held with a spring; it is manufactured - see the second example.
The crank handle is identical to that of a Whitney-patent drill, but the gear ratio is 56/12 in contrast to the Whitney's 68/13. This drill's main gear is also slightly smaller in diameter than the Whitney's, at 3-3/16 inch versus 3-5/16 inch.
