Falls
No.1 eggbeater drill; seventh example of Type 9,
the third one with a red main gear.
The no-springs
three-jaw chuck no longer carries any patent information.
Instead,
the crank is now stamped with the Star logo.
The model
number
"No1" is stamped on the straight-sided crank rather than on
the outside of the spindle housing, which is no longer machined.
This example has a chipped tooth in the main gear; closer examination
suggests that the gear was struck by something and not overloaded in
normal use.
