Millers Falls
No.5A eggbeater drill;
Type 17 - The no-frills
Millers Falls name, location and model number are stamped astride the crank-affixing
screw. The coil-spring, generic, 3-jaw chuck still has a slotted
back to facilitate diassembly; and the stained and thinly lacquered main
handle has a gently rounded flare. The gear ratio is still 61/14,
and the steel and iron parts are chromium plated. The frame is die-cast,
nonferrous alloy. The number, "32982," is cast into the face of the
main gear. This drill may have been made under license from Millers
Falls.
