Millers Falls No.5 eggbeater drill; second example of Type 15.
The triangular Millers Falls logo and model number are stamped astride the crank-affixing screw, but the company location is now Greenfield, Massachusetts.  The no-springs, 3-jaw chuck is no longer stamped with the patent date and has a new base; and the thickly red lacquered hardwood main handle has a gently rounded flare. The gear ratio has been changed to 61/14 along with a more usual pressure angle, resulting in thinner, less triangular teeth.  The letters "GB" are cast into the rim of the main gear at about the 2:00 position in the image below.  The central hub has a steel insert for the new (to this Type of the No.5) small side handle.
