Types E and D Crank Handles
Type
D's crank handle is at left/bottom, whereas Type E's is at right/top.
The
earlier Type E has a nickel-plated brass ferrule and a shorter piece of
rosewood than the lacquered cocobolo handle on the Type D's crank. Each
handle is held with a headed pin that is (weakly) riveted to the
stamped,
sheet-steel crank.
