Notes	Explanation
1	These two sources are actually listed in Excursus Patrick at Source 96 and Source 97; use them to check the validity of my correlations. It turns out that Father gave away two copies of his Patrick notes and realized in 1988 that he had not retained any after donating his Holmes research notes to the Rowan County Public Library. One copy was received by Mrs. Margaret Mitchell Curnow in 1976 and the other by Mrs. Jo White Linn in 1978. Mrs. Linn bequeathed her genealogical notes also to the Rowan County Public Library at "#9622 Linn' Family Papers" in about 2006 but that material has not yet been prepared as an online resource.
2	Excursus Gilbert had a long list of source references denoted simply, "H-2."  These were clarified in these handwritten pages: 01; 02; 03; 04. The handwritten source records correlate to the list here in Excursus Gilbert.  That adds another twenty-four Holmes Data Bank pages to my wish list: H-4,8,9,10,14,21,24,25,27,29,32,34,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,47,49,51,52; I have fixed Excursus Gilbert accordingly - GL,III, ed. Note added 13 Feb.2016: See the red numbers in the Holmes-Krider ID Project want list; the Gilbert pages are included in that list - GL,III, ed.
3	This is "Margaret M. Curnow: Letter, 5 Aug.1979, to GL,Jr." in the sources list, but I do not know where the letter might be located - GL,III, ed.
4	Nearly all the Holmes Data Bank pages refer to Excursus Gilbert; other Data Banks have cross references as well - GL,III, ed.
