General Index.
Father completed this book in the early 1980's, and Cullen promised to publish it in book form.  To this end, Cullen prepared the text in MS Word and got it into sufficient condition to present to Father before his death shortly after his 95th birthday in 1996.  Recently, Cullen again started work to complete the final copy for publication and asked me to proofread it for him.  This whole process took nearly twenty years, what with family and job responsibilities, illnesses, and the difficulty of reading Father's most recent handwriting.  The preparation and distribution of a hardcopy version has stymied both of us for much of this time as well.
In the meantime, the Internet has grown into a flourishing medium in its own right.  Therefore, we are now in the final stages of preparation of both a printable version (One Maryland Massey Family by George Langford, Jr.) in Portable Document Format (PDF) and an online version (LangfordOnMassey) in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML.)  We think we can fit both versions and much if not all of the associated source documents (Massey Data Bank) onto a single Digital Video Disk (DVD) that can be "printed" and distributed on demand.  We are currently in the throes of reconciling the two documents to maximize their comparability and accuracy with respect to the original handwritten manuscript.  Neither Cullen or I can vouch for the accuracy of Father's genealogical opinions and conclusions, however, but we welcome comments and notice of typographical errors or misreadings of his handwriting.  I can be reached at this email address by typing the characters into your email client.  SpamBots are expected to copy the filename; don't do that yourself; it's the image on the linked page that you should copy.
